How it all began

Amanda and Evan became friendly acquaintances back in 2017 while working together at a company where everybody became good friends, particularly during Friday night dinners. On one particular Friday night, Evan invited Amanda to a Red Sox game the week of her birthday.

Evan will tell you that that was the first date, but it wasn’t until 2 years later that Amanda and Evan shared their first “real” date on Valentine’s Day.

In 2020 during the pandemic, Evan reached out to Amanda to make a custom painted birthday card. In true form, Amanda procrastinated, so they decided to meet in person for a walk to the dog park to deliver the birthday card in time. Amanda felt like there might be something there, but wasn’t sure if the feeling was mutual. Shortly after, however, Evan asked her to make pizzas together the following Sunday, which happened to be Valentine’s Day. Amanda wasn’t sure if it was a date or not – spoiler alert: it was definitely a date.

And, as the saying goes, the rest is history.

Now, Amanda and Evan live in the South End of Boston where they spend time together cooking, walking Phoebe, singing made up songs in the car, and pointing out cute dogs around the city.
